IDA plays imp. role to attract investments -- Minister

CAIRO - 9 August 2020: Trade and Industry Minister Nevine Gamae has underlined an important role played by the Industrial Development Authority in implementing her Ministry’s strategy.

The IDA, which is the technical arm of the Ministry, is tasked with issuing licenses and establishing industrial complexes, not to mention its role in encouraging local industry and boosting the value added, Gamae said as she visited the Authority earlier Sunday. 
 

She also praised the IDA’s use of advanced technologies to upgrade Egyptian industry. 
 

Gamae said her Ministry adopts an integrated industrial policy meant to attract more local and foreign investments, thus contributing to creating jobs for youth. 
 

Work is underway to automate all services offered by the IDA with the aim to ease measures for investors and industry men, she noted.
