CAIRO, July 23 (MENA) - Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait asserted Thursday the keenness of the political leadership to swiftly mechanize the Egyptian Tax Authority and apply the e-bill system.

In a statement on Thursday, Maait said that the digital transformation imposes challenges to be up to the latest international developments and their impact on economy.

He pointed out that the e-bill system will help in controling the tax community and joining the unofficial economy to the official system and achieving tax justice.

Maait thanked the companies who joined the experiment operation phase of the e-bill system.

This comes within the framework of Egypt Vision 2030 of digital transformation, he said.
