Presidential initiative to be launched for encouraging buying local products

CAIRO - 14 July 2020: Finance Minister Mohamed Maait said on Tuesday that a presidential initiative will be launched to encourage the purchase of local products by the end of July that will last for three months.

In a statement, he added that the initiative is aimed at encouraging all Egyptians to buy the Egyptian product for enhancing the productivity of factories.

He added that a list of local products is prepared for offering them for sale at low prices through outlets and points of distribution of factories and companies.

The presidential initiative also allows for buying online and on installments at reduced interest rates, he pointed out.

The initiative covers electrical products, leather wear, building materials and household appliances, he added.
