CAIRO – 18 June 2020: Businessman Ayman Al-Gamil praised raising allocations for health sector in budget of the coming fiscal year 2020/2021.
Gamil also pointed out that there are many measures taken by the Egyptian state to advance the health system before and after the crisis of the coronavirus pandemic, which afflicted the world.
Finance Minister Mohamed Ma؛it said earlier Thursday that the state's new budget approved by the parliament for fiscal year (FY) 2020/21 is estimated at LE 2.2 trillion, with an increase of LE 138.6 billion from the FY 2019/20 budget.
He clarified that allocations for the health sector, education and scientific research recorded LE 682.5 billion, compared to LE 545 billion in the FY 2019/20.
