CAIRO - 1 June 2020: The “NilePreneurs” initiative, funded and sponsored by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) to support small enterprises and startups in targeted economic sectors, launched an initiative under the name of "Be Digital" to help small and medium-scale enterprises in the digital transformation and approve technological solutions in the management of projects in light of current coronavirus pandemic.
In statements to MENA, NilePreneurs initiative CEO Heba Labib said the digital transformation for SMEs is a world tendency imposed by current conditions of coronavirus pandemic.
She said the initiative will provide digital systems and various programs for the management of resources, operation of businesses along with solutions for digital marketing and e-payment.
The initiative is implemented by Nile University pursuant to a five-year-agreement with the CBE, in collaboration with the MSME Development Agency, the Ministry of Planning, the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, local banks, the Egyptian Banking Institute (EBI) (the educational arm of the CBE), and, local and international entities and donors.
