Description	Editing: Evaluates and edits articles for relevance, language quality/coherence with appropriate story flow/structure for print and online journalism. Fact checks text for accuracy and plagiarism, and applies house style. Identifies potential problems with libel and censorship issues and reports them to Managing Editor.   Management: Manages one or more sections/departments of the magazine. Coaches/mentors writers through the writing process, from the generation of story ideas to filing final draft of the story. Oversees and enforces the deadlines. Reports to the Managing Editor about story progress and potential art, deadline and content problems.   Design: Updates text on InDesign files as needed.   Overtime is expected during the production deadline period.
Qualifications	• Experienced journalist with background in print and online journalism and previous work as editor. Experience working with non-native writers of English preferred. • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English or related field. • In-depth understanding of Egypt and its issues. • Fluent English skills
