CAIRO, June 22 (MENA) – Prime Minister Sherif Ismail witnessed on Thursday the signing of an agreement between Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr and South Korean Ambassador to Egypt Yoon Soon-Gu to establish an Egyptian-Korean technical education faculty in Beni Suef governorate.

The cost of the faculty’s establishment, USD 6 million, is a grant from South Korea, the minister said, adding that the project will last for seven years.

Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar also attended the ceremony.

The faculty aims to provide skilled labor to the Egyptian market and develop scientific capabilities of the teaching staff, Nasr said.

The agreement is the outcome of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi’s visit to South Korea last year, she added.

In the meantime, the ambassador asserted his country’s keenness on supporting Egypt and boosting bilateral relations.
