CAIRO – 22 June 2017: The U.S. dollar exchange rate stabilized against the Egyptian pound in Thursday morning’s banking transactions, while the euro and British pound (GBP) stabilizes after a slight decline in Wednesday’s trading.
The dollar exchange recorded an average buying rate of LE 18.045 and sold at LE 18.139 against the Egyptian pound.
The euro fell slightly to record an average of LE 20.09 for buying and LE 20.21 for selling.
Regaining its value, the GBP marked an average of LE 22.88 for buying and LE 23.01 for selling, compared to LE 22.85 for buying and LE 22.98 for selling the day before, according to Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) rates.
Arab currencies remained stable against the Egyptian pound as the Saudi Riyal marked LE 4.81 for buying and LE 4.83 for selling, and the Emirati Dirham recorded LE 4.91 for selling and LE 4.938 for buying.
The Kuwaiti dinar declined to LE 59.38 for buying and LE 59.72 for selling.
