Big factory for manufacturing railways to be set up in Port Said

PORT SAID, Egypt - 21 April 2020: Head of the Suez Canal Economic Zone Yehia Zaki on Tuesday said that a big factory for manufacturing railways will be established in east Port Said.

The project is a joint investment between the private sector and the zone along with a foreign partner, he added in a statement.

The project is set up in implementation of directives by the Egyptian government for the coming 10 years to set up services projects in this sector, he added.

Opening three tunnels in July has helped push up activities in East Port Said and reduced time of movement for persons and goods, he added.
