CAIRO – 21 June 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indexes extended its mixed performance by the close of Wednesday’s trading, amid sideways trading and low turnover.
The benchmark index EGX30 was almost flat, losing 0.29 percent to close at 13,376 points. The EGX50 index also lost a slight 0.04 percent, to hit 2,070 points at close.
In turn, the small and mid-cap index EGX70 hiked 1.19 percent, ending at 635.6 points. Further, the all-embracing EGX100 index also inched up 1.16 percent to close near to 1,490 points.
Market capitalization added around LE 1.1 billion ($60.6 million) totaling LE 689.3 billion. The market turnover amounted to LE 682 million and local traders were the sole net buyers.
