CAIRO - 3 April 2020: The Ministry of Military Production and the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) agreed on Friday to form a joint committee - comprising officials from both sides - that will convene shortly to outline a strategy for cooperation, as well as issues of top priority with a view to meeting the interests of both sides.
This came during a meeting held by Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed el Assar and SCZone Chairman Yehia Zaki at the premises of the Military Production Ministry to discuss aspects of cooperation.
Assar hailed the outstanding success of the SCZone in implementing projects and luring more investments that intent to supporting the state's national economy.
The minister highlighted the manufacturing and technological potentials of the military production firms, their infrastructure, along with the key military and civil products of the ministry.
The meeting tackled means of opening vistas of cooperation in several domains, like supplying the solar panels and security gates, with a view to enhancing the infrastructure of the SCZone.
Meanwhile, SCZone chairman praised the role of Military Productions Ministry in implementing national development projects, adding that the zone is looking forward to cooperating with the ministry with the aim of attracting further investments in various fields.
