Bourse gains EGP 35.2 bln this week, all indexes up

CAIRO- 27 March 2020: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indexes posted collective gains during this week’s trading, according to the bourse’s weekly report.

The market capital gained EGP 35.2 billion to reach EGP 539.9 billion compared with EGP 504.7 billion in the previous week, recording an increase of 7%.

The EGX 30 benchmark index went up by 7.68 percent to register 9,912.98 points.

The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid-cap enterprises (SME) increased by 14.1 percent to stand at 959.42 points.

The all-embracing EGX 100 index went up by about 11.4 percent to settle at 1,036.16 points.
