Mitsubishi: Egypt achieved unprecedented growth in oil, power sectors

CAIRO - 19 February 2020: The general manager of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries said Wednesday that Egypt has achieved unprecedented growth in the energy sector, whether in the oil sector and the oil and gas explorations or the electricity.

Such successes have driven Egypt to a surplus in electricity production, after constructing several power plants, he said in a press conference held in Cairo.

He praised the Egyptian government’s sustainable development plan as enormously successful, due to the remarkable efforts and contributions of the ministries of the oil and electricity.

He also hailed the deep ties binding Tokyo and Cairo, pointing out that the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is planning to increase its investments and activities in the Egyptian market, after 20 years of operation in Egypt.
