CAIRO – 18 June 2017: Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Mostafa Madbouly stated Sunday that the Urbanization Authority is finalizing the execution of five service projects in four governorates at a cost of LE 182.8 million ($10 million) according to 2016/2017 fiscal year’s plan.
The authority also executed 13 projects in 12 governorates in the current fiscal year.
Chief among the ongoing projects are the third phase of paving streets inside Dahab over a distance of 25 km at a cost of LE 44.8 million as well as constructing a dual lane road at the entrance of Al-Tor city in Sinai and developing some internal roads at a cost of LE 25 million.
An integrated development project is implemented in Qena governorate. It includes renovating and raising the efficiency of a central animal and dairy production plant, and a 20 feddans farm at a cost of LE 65 million.
Madbouly added that another development project is being finalized in Nasr al-Nuba town in Aswan governorate. The project consists of 100 feddans farm for cultivating fruits, vegetables, and palm trees, and including 165 greenhouses at a cost of LE 32 million.
The minister said that three residential buildings were constructed for poor families in Al-Kharga town in the New Valley governorate at a cost of LE 16 million.
