CAIRO - 19 January 2020: Minister of Social Solidarity Nevinal-Kabbaj accompanied by the Italian ambassador in Egypt inspected some service projects in New Valley Governorate on Sunday.
Governor of New Valley, Mohamed al-Zamlout, confirmed that the minister will launch Forsa (opportunity)Initiative in the governorate's general hall, which aims to provide job opportunities and reduce unemployment rate among youth within the framework of the societal protection programs implemented by the ministry, such as Takaful and Karama.
Zamlout said in a press statement that the minister will also examine the ceramic factory, the garment factory and the main date's complex, which have been developed by the UAE's Khalifa Dates Award worth LE 20 million.
The complex aims to develop the date products industry in the governorate in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi to expand the cultivation of dates and work to develop their production.
The governor added that the minister will inaugurate small projects that were established in cooperation with the International Cooperation Organization and Italy at a total cost of LE 5 million to train and qualify handicraft workers.
Zamlout also stressed that the minister will inspect the Regional Center for Rehabilitation of People with Special Needs in the city of Kharga, which is being constructed at a cost of LE 20 million to serve people with special needs in the governorate and neighboring governorates.
The ministry also directed the completion of other projects to serve families with special needs during the period of treatment and rehabilitation of their relatives, in addition to designing landscape in vacant spaces, and the construction of a parking lot.
