Egypt seeks boosting foreign trade with world countries: Minister

CAIRO - 18 December 2019: Minister of Public Business Sector Hesham Tawfik on Wednesday said that his ministry is seeking to enhance trade between Egypt and other world countries.

According to a statement by the ministry, he noted that a maritime line between the Egyptian port of Ain Sokhna and the Kenyan port of Mombasa will be launched by mid-2020.

He made the remarks at the Egyptian-Italian Economic Forum that is held under the auspices of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and is organized by the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade.

He added that other maritime lines for boosting the Egyptian foreign trade will be launched to northern and western Africa, according to the statement.
