Sisi endorses decree approving loan deal with EBRD to buy 100 locomotives

CAIRO - 5 December 2019: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued a decree endorsing a loan agreement signed between the Egyptian government and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for the procurement of 100 new locomotives.

The 290-million-euro deal was signed in Cairo on June 19, 2017.

It was approved by the House of Representatives at its session on November 19, 2017.

The agreement entered into force as of October 18, 2019.

The decree was published in the gazette out Thursday.
