CAIRO - 7 November 2019: Industrial Development Authority (IDA) Chairman Magdi Ghazi said that the authority plans to establish nine industrial complexes in eight Upper Egypt governorates to secure jobs for young entrepreneurs.

His statements came at the conclusion of the first training program on the management and running of industrial zones.

The program falls within the framework of fruitful cooperation between the IDA and the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) to enhance investment climate and develop methods on how to establish and manage industrial zones, in addition to improving services offered to investors, he added.

Around 85 IDA employees, as well as workers from the New Urban Communities Authority attended the training program.

Ghazi noted that the program comes as part of the government's plan on the management of industrial zones in the Upper Egypt.

In this regard, he referred to the loan agreement signed with the World Bank to finance a local development program worth $500 million in the governorates of Qena and Sohag.
