Diplomat: Indian economic delegations to visit Egypt shortly

CAIRO - 27 August 2019: Indian Charge d'Affaires in Cairo Vinod Bahade said on Tuesday that many Indian economic delegations will visit Egypt in the coming period.

At a press conference here, he added that the delegations will include investors and businessmen in the fields of textiles, vehicles and foodstuffs.

He added that Indian businessmen and investors are keen on holding talks with their Egyptian counterparts for increasing trade and investments between the two countries.

He lauded the level of economic cooperation between Egypt and India, noting that the two sides signed on Monday deals for setting up four Indian supermarket chain stores in Egypt.

The signing ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli.
