CAIRO - 27 August 2019: A sum of LE 255 million has been has allocated to support the Egyptian companies partaking in international trade expos and missions, Chairman of the Chemical and Fertilizers Export Council (CEC) Khaled Abu El Makarem said.
The council is currently reviewing the executive regulations of the new Egyptian Exports Support Program before its issuance early next month, Makarem added during the council's board meeting on Monday.
He noted that the new program's budget is LE 6 billion.
Exporters will be able to receive their support benefits in 1-2 months, the chairman noted.
According to the new program, exporters will receive 40 percent of their benefits in cash, 30 percent will be deducted from any government dues; while the other 30 percent will be allocated for transport, shipping and logistical services.
