CAIRO – 11 June 2017: Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr inspected the Investors Service Center where she met with a number of investors and company representatives, the ministry said in a Sunday statement.
The minister, accompanied by acting Executive Director of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Mona Zobaa, got acquainted with the investors’ and representatives’ notes about the new electronic system applied to found companies in addition to the obstacles they face while establishing companies.
Nasr inspected the companies’ founding hall after its recent upgrade with modern technology via the electronic linkage in order to facilitate the services provided to investors.
Upgrading the Investors Service Center is the first step towards applying the new investment law, the minister said, noting that the ministry will focus on improving performance and resolving problems that investors encounter as well as those who seek to start companies.
The government is adopting an open policy to stimulate more investment, Nasr said.
The minister further indicated that one of her priorities is to take the necessary measures to improve the business environment in a way that will promote efforts to boost economy and achieve the desired growth rates.
