Military Production min. mulls promotion of coop. with Italian firms

CAIRO - 11 May 2019: Military Production Minister Mohamed Said el Assar on Saturday met with Sergio Fiorani, chairman of the Italian Unical company, and his accompanying delegation, to discuss promotion of cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting took up human, technical, technological and production capabilities of the Ministry of Military Production-affiliated companies.

Assar stressed that the ministry aims to enhance cooperation between its companies and their Italian counterparts, particularly Unical, in all fields to achieve strategic partnership for serving both sides.

They discussed means to open new horizons of cooperation with Unical in the field of boilers production.

Also the two sides reviewed promising opportunities to establish fruitful industrial partnership under the ministry’s strategy to draw on the advanced technological expertise of world companies and institutions.

Fiorani highlighted the 50-year experience and high-quality products of Unical which produces boilers, thermal units, stoves and solar panels and it is a leading Italian company in the heating, solar, photovoltaic and air conditioning systems sector, stressing that Egypt is a gateway for Middle East and African markets.

He voiced his company’s desire to establish investment projects in Egypt, praising its recent economic reforms and regulations that have created a suitable climate for investment.

At the end of the meeting, invitations were sent to both Egyptian and Italian sides to visit the ministry’s companies and Unical company.
