CAIRO – 7 June 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indexes shut on a positive note Wednesday, with the benchmark index EGX30 keeping its historic record for a second straight day.
The benchmark index EGX30 was almost flat, adding a slight 0.05 percent to end at 13,633 points, up from its all-time high of 13,627 points yesterday.
The EGX70 soared 2.25 percent to reach 606.7 points at close. Further, the all-embracing EGX100 index also jumped 1.49 percent to hit 1,429 points.
Market capitalization gained around LE 900 million ($49.7 million) totaling LE 684.4 billion. The market turnover amounted to LE 960 million and Arab traders were the sole net sellers.
