Petroleum minister meets with members of Middle East Institute in Washington

CAIRO - 16 March 2019: Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tareq el Molla said Egypt has experienced a key transitional period with the aim of causing a radical change to meet people’s aspirations.

The minister made the remarks during his meeting with members of the Middle East Institute on the sidelines of his visit to Washington.

This period began in 2014, when the government started a reform program to restore economic balance, development and job opportunities, Molla was quoted by a ministry statement as saying.

The meeting was attended by representatives of international and US oil companies, banks, international financing institutions and the US administration.

The US Chamber of Commerce, the Egypt-US Business Council and the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt organized the meeting.
