AIDMO: Egypt has potentials to become regional energy hub

CAIRO -6 March 2019: Director General of the Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organization (AIDMO) Adel Sakr lauded the Egyptian government's efforts and achievements in the solar energy, gas and oil domains that will enable it to be a regional energy hub.

Speaking at the opening of the second Arab regional conference, titled "Efficient use of oil, gas and related industries in the Arab countries… towards an effective vision of joint Arab action," Sakr said that the oil and gas sector is the main pillar of industry and the economy in the whole Arab world.

The AIDMO is working on promoting inter-Arab cooperation in the fields of oil, gas and other related industries, Sakr added.

The two-day conference is organized by the AIDMO, in cooperation with the Arab Organization for Administrative Development, under the aegis of Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit.
