CAIRO - 5 March 2019: The Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) has signed a memo of understanding with the Federation of Industries of Northern Greece (FING) on cooperation between the two countries, exchange of information and encouragement of investment.
FEI head Mohamed el Sewedy described a visit by FING's delegation to Egypt as important, saying economic cooperation between the two countries is the fruit of successful deep-rooted political relations.
He said that Egypt is the nearest country to Greece and the Balkan area and that Greece is the closest country to African markets, expressing hope for seeing more exchanged visits between the two countries in the future to further boost economic cooperation.
For his part, FING head George Milonas described the visit by a delegation of his federation to Egypt as important for discussing economic cooperation and facilitating investment procedures.
The Federation of Industries of Northern Greece (FING) was established in 1915. Since its foundation, it has been active in its efforts to promote not only industrial development, but also economic and social progress in Northern Greece. It proposes and contributes to actions aimed at establishing and promoting the competitive advantages of Northern Greece, as well as to the promotion of the overall economic development of the region.
