FEI stresses imp. of promoting Egyptian industry in Africa

CAIRO, 24 Dec 2018: The Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) has agreed on the need to boost efforts in 2019 to promote the Egyptian industry in Africa.

This should be done through increased inspection tours and joint projects, said head of the federation Mohamed el Seweidi during a board meeting Monday.

He stressed the importance of starting trade exchange with African countries to pave the way for joint industrial and service projects.

Industrial chambers are urged to outline a paper of action to determine top-priority markets that should be tapped, as well as opportunities and challenges there, Seweidi said.

Secretary of the federation Tareq Tawfiq, meanwhile, said the FEI has joined the Global Business Coalition, which will convene its first meeting in February 2019.
