Manpower minister inspects Chinese yeast factory in Beni Suef

BENI SUEF, Egypt, Dec 23 (MENA) - Manpower Minister Mohamed Saafan inspected on Sunday a yeast production factory in the medium-scale industrial zone in Beni Suef, south of Cairo,

The plant's chairman welcomed Saafan during the visit, where he reviewed the production process.

With an investment of $152 million, the business is owned by Angel Yeast of China. It achieved revenues of $40 million in 2017. It exports 95% of its production to more than 150 countries.

It is planned to increase its workforce from 580 now to 1,000.
