Egypt's finance Minister, Mohamed Maait - FILe
CAIRO - 20 December 2018: Finance Minister Mohamed Maait decided on Thursday to form three committees to solve financiers' problems.
The three committees include one for income and value added taxes, one for customs and one for real estate taxes.
The heads of the authorities of income taxes, customs and real estate taxes will chair the committee of each one's authority, he said.
Financiers will file their complaints with chambers of commerce of each governorate which in turn will refer them to the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC) on weekly basis to be revised by the committees due to be formed.
The committees will convene every 15 days.
The committees will refer their reports to a higher committee under the finance minister and with the membership of FEDCOC head to issue a final decision.
