CAIRO – 31 May 2017: Keeping a glued exchange rate this week, the U.S. dollar exchange listed an average of LE 18.03 for buying and LE 18.13 for selling against the Egyptian pound in major banks Wednesday.
The highest exchange rate for the day was recorded at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) at LE 18.07 for buying and LE 18.17 for selling.
Other banks such as the Commercial International Bank (CIB), Bank Audi and BLOM Bank followed at 18.05 for buying and LE 18.15 for selling.
A rate of LE 17.95 for buying and LE 18.05 for selling was registered at Egypt’s largest two state-owned banks the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Banque Misr.
The euro exchange rate recorded an average of LE 20.10 for buying and LE 20.22 for selling.
As for the British Pound (GBP) it marked an average of LE 23.19 for buying and LE 23.32 for selling.
The Arab currencies have remained stable against the Egyptian pound. The Saudi riyal marked LE 4.80 for buying and LE 4.83 for selling, while the Kuwaiti dinar registered LE 59.35 for buying and LE 59.71 for selling.
