Public business sector revenues hit LE 60B in 9 months

CAIRO- 30 May 2017: Revenues of public business sector companies in the first nine months of FY2016/17 reached LE 60 billion ($3.3 billion), according to commercial activities index of the Ministry of Public Business Sector.

The index showed that companies affiliated to the Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport has recorded revenues of LE 6.2 billion, 48 percent more than the corresponding period last year.

Meanwhile, the Misr Insurance Holding Company-affiliated companies registered LE 10 billion in the same period, with 46 percent year-on-year increase.

The revenues of companies of the Holding Company for Metallurgical Industries were LE 11.4 billion, 65 percent more than the same period last year.

Also, the Cotton and Textile Industries Holding Company achieved a yield of LE 3 billion, with 66 percent year-on-year increase.
