CAIRO – 29 May 2017: Egypt has imported nuts, coconut and cashews during 2016 with total value of LE 887.33 million ($49 million), according to a report by Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS.)

The report also revealed, coconut was imported in various forms such as peeled, grated, fresh and dried with a total value of about LE 191 million while the cashew is about LE 70 million.

CAMPAS pointed out that the value of the country’s import of almonds almost LE 228 million and nuts LE 96 million, while the value of import of hazelnuts and pistachios amounted to approximately LE 297 million.
