Mona zawbaa' the newly appointed interim director for Gafi
CAIRO- 27 May 2017: Prime Minister Sherif Ismail appointed Mona Zobaa’ as acting executive director of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), Minister of Investment Sahar Nasr announced Saturday.
Zobaa’, who was GAFI’s deputy head, will replace former CEO of the authority Mohamed Khodeir, Nasr said in a ministry statement.
Khodeir was appointed as head of GAFI in June 2016 after the position was vacant for 11 months. Khodeir also witnessed the final approval of the New Investment Law, passed by the parliament earlier this month, offering unprecedented guarantees and incentives to investors.
The new executive director was appointed as deputy GAFI head in February 2015 after serving as head of the investment policies department at the Ministry of Investment, according to GAFI website.
