Planning minister briefs WB delegation on social development

CAIRO – 21 May 2017: The government is taking measures to ensure that services are provided to citizens in fields such as education and health, Minister of Planning and Administrative Reform Hala al-Saeed said.

The state also ensures that all forms of social security are offered to those from social classes who mostly deserve them, a Sunday statement from the Ministry quoted Saeed as saying.

The minister's remarks were made on the sidelines of her meeting with members of the World Bank delegation, currently visiting Egypt, during which they discussed the government plan for economic and social development.

On that score, Saeed highlighted the importance of the government’s ongoing e-projects in addition to the necessity of having a database linking various government institutions in order to make the best use of the country's information system.
