CAIRO - 4 June 2018: Trade and Industry Minister Tarek Kabil said Sunday that the fifth round of the Egyptian-Belarus joint committee to foster economic, scientific and technical cooperation will be held in Cairo during the last quarter of the current year.
The committee will follow up the existing Egyptian-Belarus cooperation projects in the fields of economy, trade, investment, industry, water resources, education and scientific research.
These remarks came during the talks held between Kabil and the Belarus Ambassador here Sergei Rachkov.
The talks tackled means of promoting bilateral economic cooperation in various domains.
Kabil stressed the importance of the free trade agreement being discussed by Egypt and the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC).
The minister further asserted the need to activate the role of the Egyptian-Belarus business council in order to contribute to boosting commercial ties between both countries besides investment ventures during the coming phase.
The number of the joint investment projects reached 19 ones including 14 industrial ventures, the minister affirmed, noting that there are cooperation opportunities between the two sides in the fields of manufacturing equipment, reclaiming lands and developing the infrastructure.
