CAIRO – 14 May 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indexes shut on a mixed note Sunday, and the benchmark EGX30 ended down hurt by selling pressures on the market bellwether, CIB, which declined 0.16 percent.
The EGX30 fell 0.28 percent, closing at 12,871 points. In turn, the small and mid-cap enterprises index (EGX70) added a slight 0.13 percent to end at 588.16 points. The all-embracing EGX100 index was flat, unchanged from Thursday’s close at 1,360 points.
Market capitalization shed around 2.3 billion EGP ($127.42 million) totaling 665 billion EGP. The market turnover amounted to 445.6 million EGP and foreign traders were the sole net buyers.
