CAIRO - 29 May 2018: Minister of Finance Amr el Garhy endorsed urgent allocations worth EGP 4.6 billion for the authorities of supply commodities, railways, health insurance and the national media for the month of May.
Of the whole sum, EGP 4 billion will go to the General Authority For Supply Commodities (GASC), said a statement by the Finance Ministry on Tuesday.
The National Media Authority will receive LE220 million and 125 million pounds will be allocated to the National Press Authority, the statement added.
LE60.6 million will be extended to the General Authority For Health Insurance, said the statement, adding that the money will support services provided for women breadwinners, students and children below school age.
Of the allocated money, LE98.5 million will go to the Holding Company For Cotton and Textiles and LE62.5 million to the Holding Company for Water and Waste Water, said the statement.
The Egyptian Railways Authority is set to receive LE67.6 million, the statement added.
As well, a sum of LE2.6 million has been set aside for the Supreme Council of Culture, the statement said.
