CAIRO - 29 May 2018: An official economic report said importing Brent crude oil at 75 dollars per barrel costs the state about 103.934 billion pounds.

The report added that the total cost of each butane cylinder is 175.2 pounds; citizens pay only 30 pounds and the state bears the rest, bringing the importation costs of 183 million cylinders to 26.571 billion pounds.

The 92 octane fuel is sold at 5 pounds per liter and is imported at 10.84 pounds, while 80 octane fuel is sold at 3.65 pounds per liter and is imported at 9.66 pounds.

The report added that diesel oil is sold at 3.65 pounds per liter and is imported at 11.14 pounds.

The report revealed that the value of importing the previous types of fuel which is paid by the state hit 146.987 billion pounds.
