Additional well in Nawras field enters production with 180 mcfd

CAIRO - 27 May 2018: The Petroleum Ministry said on Sunday another well in Nawras gas field, identified as Nedico, has entered production with around 180 million cubic feet of gas and 1,500 barrels of condensates per day.

This brings to 14 the number of wells that went operational in the Nile Delta field with a total production of 1.2 billion cubic feet of gas and 8,500 barrels of condensates per day, according to a report submitted to Petroleum Minister Tarek el Molla by Belayim Petroleum Co. (Petrobel) Chairman Atef Hassan.

The operation of a new well comes as part of efforts to develop new finds and put them on the production map to increase local output of petroleum and natural gas, the report said.
