CAIRO - 10 May 2018: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed on Thursday down due to selling operations by Arab and domestic institutions and investment funds affected by the chaos in the region especially after the US decision to withdraw from the nuclear deal with Iran.

The market capital lost about EGP 13.6 billion to hit EGP 962 billion amid transactions that hit EGP 1.4 billion.

The main benchmark EGX 30 index went down by 1.75 percent reaching 17,155.14 points.

The broader EGX 70 index of the leading small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) dropped by 0.94 percent recording 853.53 points.

The overall EGX 100 index was down 1.32 percent reaching 2,195.71 points.
