CAIRO - 4 April 2018: Egypt seeks to import three shipments of wheat, the first before the end of April, Al-Mal newspaper quoted Minister of Supply Ali Moselhy Wednesday.

Egypt's strategic wheat reserves are sufficient until July 15,financial newspaper Al Mal on Wednesday quoted Supply Minister Ali Moselhy as saying.

Egypt will issue "new tenders to import three shipments in quantities of between 180,000 and 200,000 tonnes", and the first will be before the end of April, Moselhy added.

Egypt consumes 9.6 million tonnes of wheat per year to produce subsidised bread.
