CAIRO – 4 March 2018: In light of the restructuring process of the Ministry of Tourism, Tourism Minister Rania al-Mashat has directed the heads of different sectors and administrations in the ministry to nominate five young calibers between 28 and 35 years of age in order to formulate a team to cope with the ministry's development plan in the coming period.
The calibers should be hard workers and have advanced communications skills, according to a statement from the ministry. Names should be sent no later than March 30, 2018, the statement added.
The minister has further canceled a prior decision by the former tourism minister to appoint two consultants.
Mashat was appointed as a Minister of Tourism in January as per Prime Minister Sherif Ismail’s latest cabinet reshuffle.
Mashat worked as an economist with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and also served subgovernor the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).
