Egypt to turn into regional hub for natural gas trade: official

CAIRO- 13 February 2018: Khaled Abu Bakr, the head of the Egyptian side of the Egyptian-Italian Business Council, said Egypt will turn into a regional center for natural gas trade.

In statements to MENA on Tuesday on the fringe of the Egypt Petroleum Show 2018, he said the participation of heavyweight international companies in the show reflects the progress realized in the petroleum sector in Egypt and offers a chance for exchanging expertise in the oil and natural gas domains.

He called for bringing to the limelight the great efforts of national Egyptian companies that invest in oil and gas explorations.

Preparations are underway for a visit by representatives from key Italian companies to Egypt, he added.
