Indian Ambassador to Egypt, Sanjav Vhatacharyya, during the inauguration of Egypt’s first Aptech training course – Egypt Today/Mohamed al-Hossary
CAIRO – 1 February 2018: Between Aptech’s motto, “unleash your potential”, and Taaleem’s goal of developing the youth, the new cooperation between the two organisations promises the youths a better future.
During the inauguration of Egypt’s first Aptech training course, the Indian Ambassador to Egypt, his Excellency Mr. Sanjav Vhatacharyya, spoke about the wonderful cooperation between Egypt and India.
“We hope that this association [between Aptech and Taalem] will grow and with it, the cooperation between the two countries will grow,” stated his Excellency in comments to Egypt Today after his speech.
During his speech, the Ambassador expressed his happiness regarding the growing cooperation between Egypt and India, he suggested that with India’s experience in the field and Egypt’s potential, nothing can stop the two.
“We have been at the forefront for creating, using, and manipulating technology for the social good. This has brought a wave of innovation in India and a spirit of enterprise.” This same innovation and spirit of enterprise, he expressed, exist in Egypt and have the potential to reach a more incredible level through India sharing its experience with Egypt.
When asked by Egypt Today what he feels India would like to cooperate with Egypt on, the Ambassador replied, “India is ready to cooperate with Egypt on anything and everything. We are, of course, a leading force in technology. We offer good technological solutions but we will work with Egypt in whatever they want. Still, IT, and the broad area of technology, is something that India and Egypt need to cooperate in. Both countries have many youths and youths are eager to learn. By helping each other out, the two countries, which are big in their region, and influential too, can grow even quicker.”
His Excellency added, “We are very strong and Egypt is a big power. When India thinks of Egypt, we think that it will grow exponentially during the next period. We not only think of Egypt economically and as having great potential, we also think of Egypt as a leader in the region.”
“Through this cooperation, we expect that Egypt will be the hub of technology in the region.”
Speaking to Egypt Today about on-going cooperation in education, the Ambassador gave the examples of Al-Azhar University. He also spoke about the e-learning courses they do in the Medical School of Alexandria and three other programs in the University of Alexandria in the social sciences and management department.
“With us, you have the best partner, and with you, we have the best partner,” his Excellency spoke proudly.
This partnership, as his Excellency pointed out during his speech, is vital due to what he labelled as a “transformative age” that we live in. “It is very important for all to b empowered with knowledge. The association between the two partied [Aptech and Taaleem] will provide the youths with the knowledge and abilities to go out and compete for top jobs and do good for your country.”
“Egypt and India are great in our areas and we have continues to succeed in different areas, so it is only normal for us to want to improve more and more.”
The Indian Embassy was also quick to issue a press release. Titled ‘Opening of Aptech Centre for Training and Education, New Maadi, Cairo,’ the release said the following:
The Aptech Centre for Training and Education was inaugurated on 31st January, 2018, at Building No.13, Street 294, Albasateen New Maadi, Cairo. The opening ceremony was jointly hosted by Aptech India Limited and Taalem Company, owners of Nahda University Beni Sueif. The Centre was inaugurated by Ambassador Sanjay Bhattacharyya, Eng. Mohamed El Rashidi, MD, President of Nahda University Beni Sueif, Mr. Anil Pant, MD & CEO, Aptech India Limited, Prof. Mohamed Elnashar, President of Technological Education Development Committee and Prof. Amr Salama, General Secretary of Association of Arab Universities and Higher Education.
Amb Bhattacharyya said the opening of the Aptech Centre in Cairo was a testimony to the growing economic partnership between India and Egypt. He said there were significant developments in the field of IT in India, which had provided the youth with new opportunities for skills and jobs in a globalised world. Such skills provided for an empowered and aspirational population that was responsive to the needs of society. He expressed confidence that the Centre, which would teach 2000 students the requisite computer knowledge and communication skills annually, would leverage their market potential. India was committed to expanding its development partnership with Egypt, he added.
Aptech India has over 1,300 centres of learning in over 40 countries with 29 years of excellence in IT training helps students gain the skills to take Egypt technologically forward. In 2016, Aptech has been voted as India’s Most Trusted Brand in training and education by IBC Infomedia and MRG. Aptech, which is a pioneer in IT education in India and globally and will strive to train Egyptian youth in modern IT education.
The Aptech Centre in New Maadi will teach Website Designing, HTML5 and C Programming, Net and Java Programming, Android Developer and many related courses. The Center is committed to develop English language and computer skills among the students. Combined with the facilities at Nahda University, Aptech now has the capacity to train 3,000 students annually, soon to be increased to 5,000 students per year.
