CAIRO – 22 January 2018: "Tourism Development Authority (TDA)’s revenues in H1 of fiscal year 2017/2018 recorded LE 372.35 million," chief executive of Tourism Development Authority Serag el-Din Saad said.
Saad added that the authority exceeded the surplus targeted by the government, which was LE 300 million, by 100 percent.
He further noted that the authority’s revenues between October and December 2017 reached LE 172.38 million.
Saad expected in his statement to Youm7 that the authority will exceed the target revenues of LE 995 million in this fiscal year.
“The authority’s revenues exceeded the financial target by 130 percent during fiscal year 2016/2017, which amounts to LE 700 million, reaching an unprecedented total of LE 990 million,” Saad added.
TDA is the governmental entity that manages and exploits all lands allocated to establish tourist regions; its main office is in Cairo and it has many branches in other governorates.
