Sahar Nasr meets with Hutchison Port officials

CAIRO – 13 April: Minister of Cooperation and International Investment Sahar Nasr met with officials from China's Hutchison Port Holding Company to discuss possible ways to enhance investments in the field of maritime transportation and ports developments, a Thursday press release said.

During the meeting, Nasr emphasized that she welcomes Chinese investments in Egypt, noting that Egypt has promising investment opportunities in the Suez Canal axis.

The company's officials expressed their appreciation of the efforts undertaken by the current government to eliminate obstacles investors face and create an incentivizing environment for investments.

The officials remarked that the company has operations running in 26 countries and 52 ports, rolling out a project in Egypt, in cooperation with the Ministry of Transportation and the Alexandria Port Authority.
