CAIRO – 11 December 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended its transactions Monday in green for the second day this week on Egyptian and Arab purchases.
Benchmark index EGX30 went up 0.09 percent to stand at 14,426 points. The small and mid-cap index EGX70 increased 0.99 percent to end at 785.07 points and the broader index EGX100 leveled up 0.79 percent to close at 1,848 points.
Market capitalization hiked LE 9.6 billion as it recorded LE 805.307, up from LE 795.702 billion at the end of transactions Sunday.
As for the nationalities of transactions, foreign individuals and institutions were net sellers at LE 263,000 and LE 65 million respectively, meanwhile, Egyptian and Arab individuals and institutions purchased at LE 32.9 million, LE 7.9 million, LE 16.2 million and LE 8.3 million.
Shares of 100 companies recorded increases, while 55 others saw declines, while, shares of 32 firms remained unchanged.
