CAIRO – 7 December 2017: The first “African Forum for Entrepreneurs” kicked off in Cairo on Wednesday. It is organized by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) in cooperation with the African Union (AU) and a number of other concerned entities in Africa.
In a speech given on behalf of MSMEDA’s Director Nevine Gamea, Rafat Abbas, head of the central sector for services in the agency, said it is significant to pursue working on developing entrepreneurship all over the African continent.
Abbas called for more cooperation with African leaders to promote the new ideas and entrepreneurs.
MSMEDA will sponsor a session on invention in small projects in Africa as well as another session to discuss financial inclusion in Egypt.
On April 24, Prime Minister Sherif Ismail issued a decree to merge the SFD with the MSMEDA to become one entity, working to upgrade and develop the SME sector by offering financial and non-financial services.
The MSMEDA offers funds for the SME projects either directly or by using the banks as mediators.
