CAIRO- 6 December 2017: The Egyptian pound exchange rate inched up in Wednesday’s morning banking transactions.

The exchange rate of the U.S. dollar recorded an average of LE 17.68 for buying and LE 17.78 in the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) and Banque du Caire.

As for state-owned banks the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Banque Misr, it recorded LE 17.66 for buying and LE 17.76 for selling.

The highest rate was recorded at the Commercial International Bank (CIB) and ALEXBANK, which stood at LE 17.69 for buying and LE 17.79 for selling.

Meanwhile, it marked LE 17.74 for buying and LE 17.82 for selling at the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank.

The euro exchange rate stood at LE 20.86 for buying and LE 21.04 for selling.

The GBP (British Pound) registered LE 23.67 for buying and LE 23.88 for selling, compared to LE 23.19 for buying and LE 23.32 Wednesday.

As for the Arab currencies, the Saudi Riyal stabilized at LE 4.70 for buying and LE 4.73 for selling, according to the CBE. The Kuwaiti dinar recorded LE 58.44 for buying and LE 58.84 for selling.
