CAIRO – 5 December 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended its transactions in red, and market capitalization declined LE 4.6 billion.
Benchmark index EGX30 went down 0.76 percent to stand at 14,460 points. The small and mid-cap index EGX70 decreased 0.79 percent to end at 780.98 points and the broader index EGX100 leveled down 0.64 percent to close at 1,830 points.
Market capitalization recorded LE 798.2 billion, down from LE 802.846 billion at the end of transactions Monday.
Arab and foreign individuals as well as foreign institutions were net sellers at LE 10.1 million, LE 8.7 million and LE 185.2 million. Meanwhile, Egyptian individuals in addition to Egyptian and Arab institutions were net buyers at LE 54.1 million, LE 85.8 million and LE 64.2 million respectively.
Shares of 71 companies recorded increases, while 93 others saw declines, while, shares of 29 firms remained unchanged.
